CCP CCW questions

Post by gunnergirl »

The application asks about pending charges, does a pending charge a non-domestic charge, non-drug charge, etc make it likely you will be denied the permit? I was wondering because I have a pending charge for nothing serious, no felony, no drugs, no domestic, does it mean they are likely to deny the permit just because of a pending charge, even if its not a typical disqualifying type?

If it asks about a pending charge but does not specify, it is best advised to answer truthfully and explain what, where, why. The BG check will pull it up anyway.

Be truthful on the application or suffer the consequences.

Whether they deny it or not is solely up to the county issuing the permit. There are standards most follow though. Best to ask a lawyer if you're unsure.
I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.

Do you loose your CHP if you get a DUI?

Answer truthfully 100%! They will more than likely find out anyway and lying on the form is also a crime!

and it's a CHP here in Virginia not a CCW or CCP. I know it's a small thing but you should know what you are applying for and use the right term.
