Sad day indeed.
Wait! Wasn't I suppose to vote for McCain because he wouldn't support gun control like Obama...well I'll be a fool.

gunderwood for the win. "THIS ELECTION IS TOO IMPORTANT NOT TO VOTE GOP!"
The silver lining is that a third of the Senate voted that they didn't even want to have the conversation on gun control. That's not fringe extremists there.

I'm waiting to see how many amendments get attached to either change it or add to it. Not that any of it is good.

Re: Senate voted to move bill forward.
Hold your horses there folks. Many people myself included feel that the republicans voted for closure for two reasons:
1: Because they don't like seeing the filibusterer used over something that won't pass.
2. Mainly they want to draw moderate democrats out. Allow them to vote on a bill that could make them weak in the next election.
Proof? Well they already did it, look at the lead sponsor of the bill its the democrat for WV. It presents it big problem for his next election.
Call these republicans traitors when they vote on the real thing.

We need to start a movement to repeal the 17th amendment.
