In all honesty, I'm not sure which spring you would need. I would suggest sending an email to Glock and asking them.

Hey, late to the party... and it was definitely a party. No expert, but I own a Gen 3 G26 and it is my choice for CC. I love mine, but mostly because I have a hard time with a larger handgun for conceal carry. It is my only Glock, and after owning it, I have really learned to like it. I carry mine in a Minotaur MTAC IWB holster, and sometimes OWB with a Flamingo (local to Fredericksburg).

My slide release is stiff, but it works. Plus the release is so small and I do not have large hands, so using it during a mag change is somewhat a PITA. I force the issue when practicing and do both methods. If it doesn't break in a little after a few hundred rounds, I would get the extender, or have someone look at it.

My G26 10 rnd mags release and will drop out fine. However, I noticed they were a little less likely to drop free when brand new. Mine has about 500 rnds through it though.

I have never used a 3 round pierce extender. I have 4 10 rnd mags, 1 with a 2 rnd pierce extender (really just the pinky extender, and only adds 1 rnd TBH), and haven't had a problem with it. I chose to go 10 round G26 for 10+1 when carrying, and then have a 15 round with a base cover on it so it matches the grip for my backup mag(s). I thought the Pierce would help accuracy, but TBH it doesn't for me, and I actually like the baby glock grip now, and accuracy is no better, or worse :-)

BTW. Some of my (stock) mags will rattle also when fully loaded. I have looked into it a little, and supposedly it is the first round in the mag loosing tension on it or something to that effect. If you tap the base of the mag on something, it will settle it. Also, if you shoot it a bunch, it'll all break in.

Shoot a few hundred rounds through it. Then see how it does for you. I am ready for a 30s myself. Kind of hoping my wife will take a liking to 26.

Sorry, Didn't have time to read through all the posts today, But my 0.02 cents worth.

What Generation G26 is it? -- Believe it or not, the Original G17 (1st Gen) mags were Designed to NOT drop free, Apparently somebody was concerned about Soldiers losing Magazines in the Field. However with that said, I believe all G26's should have Drop Free Mags from the Factory production beginning with the very first one. I know mine do and it's a 1st gen G26 from the Mid 90's. I might be wrong, But I think G26's came about when the G17 was already on the Gen 2 and the Mag issue had been resolved because US Americans didn't like the Non-Drop Free mags, So Glock changed the Mag design, Original G17 mags were disassembled by squeezing the sides and removing the floor plate, there was no dimple to lock the floor plate in place as We have now.

As for the Slide Release, Personally I think the Glock Slide release is one of the Worst designed ever, All my Glocks are replaced with the so called extended release that really isn't extended back towards the grip so much as it extends outward giving your thumb something to grab onto other than a piece of flat sheet metal, They work great and I never understood why Glock never adopted them on all production guns. With that said, Most people recommend sling shooting the slide on reloads, but it's really personal preference.

Enjoy it, It's a great little gun although I think there are better compact carry 9's out there now that are even smaller, I personally carry a XDs .45 which is just a tad smaller than a G26 but in .45 caliber or I'll carry a Kel-Tec PF9 or Ruger LC9 depending on my mood.

Stop looking at it and shoot it.

As for the Hk thing it was a photographer who was rumored to have loaded the mags.

The G26 is a great carry gun. I carried one for a long time.
