I haven't owned a gun in 30 years. I live in the Manassas, VA area and was wondering where I could recieve gun training/safety/usage and personal selection help? My purchase will be for home safety and leaning toward a 20ga pump action shotgun.

Are you looking for someone that is a certified instructor? If not I'd be glad to help you one Saturday If your'e willing to make the drive. I'm about 2 hours from you. I have shotguns (no 20ga.though), different flavors of rifles from .22 rimfire through .308 including an evil black rifle (AR) and various handguns. I'd be more than happy to help you get started.

Guys just some info for the Richmond and maybe in your area: They now have CC classes every Sun at Gander Mountain(on Rt 1) you have to call the store to preregister. The class is $60 50 for the class 10 for the book.
