Instructors fingerprinting in Virginia

Post by nosuchstudios »

Hey All,

Got a question i can't seem to find answers to via the internet. So, Like many people around here. I'm an NRA certified instructor. I'm ramping up to do it quite a bit more often and more formal than i've done in the past. Initially i did it just so I knew my friends and family around me were getting the proper level of training. Now im starting to start spreading my reach.

In researching the market, I'm seeing a lot of people offering fingerprinting on site. How the heck are they getting the blessing to do that for the state of VA? I understand the guys that are registered DCJS Schools, I went through them when i got my "guard card" but what about these guys offering concealed carry classes? How does one go about getting approved to do fingerprinting? I'd love to be able to offer that service?

Any advice here is much appreciated.

In addition to teaching some NRA approved and concealed carry classes here soon, I'll soon be a Red Cross Licensed Training Partner if anyone's in need of certification. Shameless plug over :)

Thank you everyone,

Jason

I have never heard of that. When I got my CHP in Fauquier County, I had to go to the sheriffs office for printing. I would love to hear how this is done as the prints are run through the database. Hope you find out how it's done.
