Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I hope those Venezuelan air force noncoms that I knew in the 80's survived to see this day.

I don't care what they do in life, I will never speak ill of the dead. We all owe a life and now he's paid his tab, he's square with the house may he rest peacefully.

Not nockin yall, it's just the way I am.

That is what I am afraid of. Not afraid exactly, but concerned for the sake of Venezuelans.

I'm sure Hollywood is mourning his passing.

Sean Penn, and Danny Glover are probably in tears toasting their "Comrade".

In the end? Death comes for us all.

Doesn't seem right to applaud somebody's death; even though I suppose he might have deserved it more than most. Just the way I was raised. But at the same time, I gotta tell you in all candor that I also can't find it in my heart to be a bit sorry to hear he's dead.

My first thought was about how it wasn't right to be glad, and my second was to wonder how big a scoundrel will take his place.

“Mr. Obama decided to attack us,” Chávez said. “Now you want to win votes by attacking Venezuela. Don’t be irresponsible. You are a clown, a clown. Leave us in peace … Go after your votes by fulfilling that which you promised your people.”

“Focus on governing your country, which you’ve turned into a disaster,” Chávez said, according to The Guardian.

I was listening to NPR today and I find it interesting.

The hard core liberals were STILL trying to say he was a great guy as the historian and Chaves's countrymen were saying he was not a good person.

45% of the country voted against him in the last election (assumption that the election wasn't rigged)

He cut lots of good programs when he came to office because they were not his programs.

He and a small group of elitist got rich (not rich as in a couple million, but to a tune of a couple billion) off the country.

He backed the scum of the earth.

If you believe in Hell, I think that is where he is going.
