I have only been in Virginia for 8 years and my problem is I find it "TOO" liberal. Unfortunately, I haven't found anywhere I like better so I am doing my best to convince the libs to move away. I think it is high time we stood up for our beliefs and told "them" to move out. My wife says I am a little to the right of Atila the Hun, whatever that means. Kudos to Hans.

@ Kreutz... She's a Unitarian? I was guessing Methodist; but I wasn't far off, consisdering that the Methodists have been unofficially lining up with the UU's lately. And, yep, that did provide some context, lol.

Side note: why have the UU's organized Agnosticism? Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose?

For some reason I overlooked this thread for several days and have no idea why! I really loved the response so that I sent the good representative a little email.
Dear Representative Hunt,

I'll be blunt. I loved your letter to the Rev. Fulbright and with all do respect Virginia doesn't want him either.

Sincerely,

Jake

UU is the drain trap of theology, it seems catch whatever bits of flotsam and jetsam slip through the other ones.

Looks like she has a Masters of Divinity from Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkely, CA. http://www.sksm.edu/

Here's a choice quote from their website:
Our Educational Philosophy

Starr King School's educational philosophy is rooted in Unitarian Universalist values. We educate in ways that:

trust in an empowering and liberating grace that is larger than ourselves,
call forth the full, authentic presence of people,
welcome silenced knowledge, feeling and experience,
undergird human wholeness, integrity, interdependence and agency,
foster self-awareness and self-respect,
strengthen relational capacities and the ethics of community,
deepen knowledge and wisdom arising from engagement with primary texts and primary experience,
embody an ongoing practice of inquiry, study, action and reflection.

Our Educational Model

Starr King’s New Educational Model advances Starr King as a school with “permeable walls” and opens the School to enrollment growth by making the School’s programs more flexible. In keeping with the School’s long heritage of student-centered education, it places the student at the center and offers each the close and committed guidance of a faculty mentor-advisor. Within a framework of individually-designed courses of study, it asks each M.Div. and M.A.S.C. student to engage in three modes of learning: on-line learning, residential learning, and immersion learning. The new model fully integrates into all aspects of the curriculum the School’s commitment to education that counter-oppressions, creates just and sustainable communities and fosters multi-religious life and learning.

It has just occurred to me that I'd like to know how the members of the church she in now the minister of feel about her political opinions.
Are they also "carpet baggers" that moved to Wyoming and now want to change it or are they typical Wyoming citizens that may send her and her family packing?

OBTW - She has her own website: http://revaudettefulbright.com also the site of the church http://www.uucheyenne.org/

UU is far (and I mean far) left. They'd agree with them wholeheartedly.

What do you get when you cross a Jehovahs Witness with a Unitarian?

Left New Jersey for friendlier climes. You know what they say about Jersey - best place to be is in the middle, that way any direction is out! Love it here in VA! The only reason my wife and I would ever leave here is if the blues take over. They've got a good foothold in the urban population centers, but we're not giving up yet. :packin:
