Unless you want to reload it, you can get it cheaper here.

I did check that site but I didn't want to buy .223, I wanted 5.56. I know they're technically the same but the 5.56 is supposed to have more oomph (pressure). And to be honest I was kinda sold by the fact that it's NATO ammo, I guess in the end it doesn't really matter does it? Oh well, what's done is done.

Sexy. Looks like they're out of the 5.56 now, unfortunately. They do have .223x1000 for 349.95, which doesn't look half bad.

Huh. Guess I'm just going blind, then. I'm just not seeing it. What was the sku on it?

Query - Do you have someone at home to sign for the ammo, or did they leave it at your doorstep?

Sometimes they (ammo to go) do have 5.56. And for those that may not be aware there is a difference between the two cartridges. Dont shoot 5.56 in a .223 rifle - not good. You can shoot either in a 5.56 rifle.

The 5.56 cartridge is thicker, higher pressure and can have unpredictable results in a .223 chambered rifle.

that's quite a score...looks like xmas morning. that's not lake city is it? maybe PRIVI/SERBIA..i know there is a recent flux of surplus floating around. 40shooter you may encounter jamming with your S&W due to the smaller 223 chamber also, due to the heavier bullet it's not the greatest for a 1:9 twist. i'm sure you would have no problem reselling or keep it until you can shoot it.

My AR is chambered for 5.56. I will post pics if anyone cares to see them. The ammo sight says this"THIS AMMO IS MANUFACTURED BY ADCOM IN THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES AND MEETS THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF MILITARY SPECIFICATIONS."

I ordered mine Monday morning and it was on my doorstep Wednesday, Fed-Ex left it there. I was home but by the time I got to the door he was gone & the ammo was there.
