New York forgot to exempt police
New York forgot to exempt police
Fox News is reporting that New York was in such a hurry to jam through their bill that they forgot to exempt police and law enforcement from the magazine limits. Every "high-capacity" firearm they have is now noncompliant and all of their magazines should be turned in!!!

They have something on the order of 33 "fixes" that are getting pushed through.

And if Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell, we should probably give him more cowbell!
Re: New York forgot to exempt police
Perhaps with fewer rounds in their mags, they won't be able to hit as many bystanders when they're busy missing the perp.
Re: New York forgot to exempt police
But, but, I've been told dozens of times now that no one "needs" to hold 10+ rounds, why do they?
So they don't have to reload when shooting a black dude armed with a wallet?

well now, I think they should leave it just like so. Sauce for the goose, Sauce for the gander.

Just out of curiosity, does New York have Citizen Arrest powers? Aught to be interesting if citizens started checking the LEO's weapons and if they found them with more than 7 rounds then the LEO gets locked up. I am not usually a betting man, but I can almost guarantee that most if not all of the police departments are not following the law. Considering the number of Police Officers in New York City alone, I would have to imagine that the number of Citizen Arrests would fill the local jail cells.

We are in for interesting times when the police have to start arresting themselves.

Somehow that does not surprise me. And the fact that my body was riddled with 20+ rounds from two officers would be quietly glossed over too probably.Kreutz wrote:You would be shot on the spot.totes6 wrote:Just out of curiosity, does New York have Citizen Arrest powers? The fewer rounds they have the better, it teaches dicipline. If the cops who shot all those civilians in the Empire State Building had six shot revolers I bet ya there wouldn't be as many injured civilians.
I remember reading they fired x amount of shots, and not a single shot missed anyone. X amount hit the perp, and x amount hit bystanders. Atleast they can argue their aim isn't bad.

The only thing they can't argue is that they're not wasting bullets. Every one they shot did hit a target.
You can argue that they're aim is bad all day long. lol
