Safety Notice:

Rifles must be cased and left in vehicle until after the Safety Briefing. Do Not bring your firearms out until instructed to bring them to the firing line. No loaded firearms on the range unless on the firing line and load command has been given. Eye and ear protection required. No illegal types of legal firearms are allowed. Some ranges are .22 rimfire only. At ranges that allow centerfire no firearms over .30 cal are allowed.

Range Fee: None

Camping Available:

Yes, a beautiful camping area near the range and next to a lake.
You can fish if you have a Virginia fishing licence.
Room for campers and a dumping station ($10.00 fee)
New mens and womens restroom facilities (handicap accessible) with showers.

Hotels:

No motels close to the range. Ashland is about 20 miles and Montpelier is about 10 miles on back roads.

Directions:

Take the Oilville exit (#167) off I64 west of Richmond, VA to Route 617 north. Follow Rt617 north through Vontay, VA (one house) and continue to Rt 610. Turn left on Rt610 and go past the brick church on the right to Boondock Lane on the left. Turn onto Boondock Lane and follow it to the end. The gate should be open. The website has a map and it would be a good idea to print a copy for reference.

Misc:

This is a 25 meter only Appleseed. While Centerfire is welcome bring the .22s and save $$$ on ammo. No alcohol permitted
