Richmond Times Dispatch to Have Conversation About Guns

Post by ShotgunBlast »

After last month’s deadly shooting rampage in Newtown, Conn., the debate over gun control has reached a fever pitch.
It’s time for a civil conversation about what we need to do to make safety a priority.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch invites you to join us for that conversation about a variety of gun issues, from bans on assault rifles to arming school security guards.
Also, we’ll hear an in-depth report on a recent Quinnipiac University poll about Virginians’ attitudes about gun control.
The event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required.

When: Tuesday, Jan. 29, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: The Times-Dispatch’s downtown offices, 300 E. Franklin St.
Registration: Online at TimesDispatch.eventbrite.com or by phone at (804) 649-6305.
Parking: available in The Times-Dispatch’s parking deck
Details: Go to TimesDispatch.com, search: Public Square.
Online: Watch live on TimesDispatch.com.
Note: The Times-Dispatch has a policy of not allowing firearms in our building or on our grounds.
I hope the locals can attend. Anyone can watch on their website. Make sure you leave your firearms in your vehicle.

That's a good topic to begin the conversation.

No other reason I would want to be there.

Note: The Times-Dispatch has a policy of not allowing firearms in our building or on our grounds.

Does that include security?
