My only comment is that when asked if he would do anything to help prevent acts like this from happening again he would say "we'd be willing to do anything as long as it doesn't infringe on the people's freedom as covered under the second amendment".

What is the penalty for having a high cap magazine in DC?

I thought he came off a lot better than he did on Friday. Still would like to see a leadership change at the NRA though...

I think we are up against a huge, powerful machine and it is going to take more than one speech from one guy to go up against it.

Unfortunately, stats and facts mean nothing compared to banning big scary guns that look menacing.

I think Waynes right, and he has my full support. I just wish he would have driven the point home more that the criminals aren't going to abide by a magazine ban. What does Mr. Rude think, that when one of these psychos gets ready to light up some place he's gonna check to see if his magazines are legal. These people are crazy.

I don't know if David Gregory was mocking LaPiere, just challenging his positions. There certainly weren't any softball questions that's for sure. But if you watch the rest of the show they had a segment with Chuck Schumer and Lindsey Graham where there were some tough questions to both sides as well. After that was a roundtable discussion with some more tough questions.

As much as I'd like to say the MSM rolled over on this one, Meet the Press actually dished it out pretty good to both sides.

Gregory needs to be prosecuted for breaking the law.

He should have pointed out that if an gun control advocate won't even obey the EXISTING high-capacity mag ban in DC as evidenced by the fact he's waiving one around, what makes him think a criminal bent on shooting up a school and murdering people will?
