1. Armed bank president and employee of a GUN FRIENDLY bank stop robber cold!
*************************************************

This is a GREAT story and one to forward to your local gun-unfriendly-bank!

This Missouri bank has a sign on the door, WELCOMING lawful carry. And the criminal who came in to rob that bank found out that the bank wasn't kidding!

The sign on their door shows a handgun in a circle (NO slash through it) and the following:

Lawful concealed carry permitted on these premises.
Management recognizes the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as an inalienable right of all citizens.

That'll teach the criminal not to read signs on bank doors before trying to rob them! ;-)

Thanks to Ken Martin for the link:

TROY, MO. (KTVI) – A man wearing a Halloween mask burst into the Peoples Bank and Trust demanding money Tuesday, but the robbery was stopped by the bank’s president.
David Thompson followed the suspect into the parking lot after the robbery.

“I practice concealed carry and pulled my gun on him,” Thompson said.

Police arrived moments later and arrested the suspect.

“That is when I realized that he was a customer,” Thompson said. “He had one of our debit cards in his wallet.”

Thompson told FOX2 News he was surprised someone would try to rob his bank.

“We have a lawful concealed carry sign on the door, so that lets people know we can be armed,” he said.

Police said the suspect was not armed.

Thompson has been with the bank for 36 years.

“It is a part of my life,” he said.

I always like reading stories like that.

Question about the bank president's tactics though. If the robber had the cash and was leaving the bank, should the bank president gone after them like he did? The threat was leaving. If the bank president went after the robber and the situation escalated, do you think the bank president would be liable for anything?

A quick look at Missouri gun law shows liberal rights for defense against trespass.
