Gunshops around Williamsburg

Post by Wolvee »

Today is my Birthday, my wife is away on business and my 18 month old daughter is insisting on buying her daddy a new Hk or Ruger Revolver. :hysterical: We're new to the state and I have no idea where to go. I hate buying from corporations like Gander Mountain or Bass Pro and don't mind paying more at locally owned shops.

Thanks,
Wolvee

Every daddy is entitled to spoil his daughter. Unwritten law.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

Yorktown, which is close to the 'Burg, has Winfrees Cigarettes & Guns; that's on Rt.17. If only they sold beer. It would be a perfect store.

Newport News has some, Gloucester has a few. I can't actually think of any that are actually IN Wmbg. The one that I mentioned earlier is in the Harwood Mills area of Yorktown.

Years ago, I had a neighbor in Toano that ran a gun store out of the front room of his house, but that's long gone.

I recently discovered a gun store on Mooretown Rd. There is no sign, the guy doesn't advertise, and his selection is small. He operates out of a small shop next to his house.

This is a horrible explaination, but I bought my Beretta from these guys and ammo each time I go back to VA on leave.

From Glouster > Yorktown (Main Road) You'll pass by Wal-Mart on the Right-Hand side and Chik-Fil-A. Keep going and you'll have a Mc'Donalds at a stop light. Keep going down further and start looking about 2-3 miles down on the right side of the road you'll have this place (I Believe) called Arrows and Ammo. It's a pretty small shop, surrounded by residential homes to the left of it and a few small businesses on the right but got a good selection of pistols, shotguns, and AR's. The owner is very knowledgable and good to work with.

I just wish I knew that area better and actually knew the name of the place 100%...
