Hello from oklahoma
I reside in norman oklahoma. but i found a few of your topics interesting, and wanted to put my 2cents in. hope you don't mind that i registered even though i am not a VA.resident.(i'll understand if you decide to revoke my membership).if it helps i used to live in Petersburg, and my wife was born in Richmond..lol
anyway, even though i no longer live in VA. there's alot to be said for our rights. not only as gun owners, but as Americans. you guys should know that, here in oklahoma we are as worried about where things are headed as you are. we Okies see things much the same way as you...and why not? right is right and wrong is wrong no matter where you're from.
since in office we've all seen the new president continuously on television. the most publicized president that i've ever seen.with news coverage of everything ,from his choice in dogs as a pet to the dateline nbc special and even his garden at the white house. but my Daddy did'nt raise a fool. i have been telling my wife from the beginning that something's not right. it's like slight of hand they show you soo much to keep up public opinion of him, but somethings going on behind all those cameras too. and like a game of chess the players are being setting up to make their next move. at my last count, 34 czars have been appointed. bailouts that should be called "buyouts" because now the gov. is the majority share holder. a socialist healthcare proposal. and even a post from the obama administration email, stating that we should turn in anyone we know that publicly opposes the healthcare bill to the administration HQ. does this stuff sound like a mix between nazi's and russian communists? it does to me and thats a scary prospect.it's all unraveling before our very eyes.theres been a lot of news on the web about militias forming all over. it's alot like the 90's when people were disturbed that our government killed our own citizens at ruby ridge and the waco incident. i think it's just a matter of time before things start coming to a head. but those who are gung-ho about it are what will be the downfall. lets face it... you can't overthrow a government rightfully that we voted for. even the most patriotic of people must understand that. because when people go to town hall meetings with AR's. and a show of force is made by the people, thats when all hell will break loose because thats when they'll try to disarm us all in the name of security. and so we cant fight back. if and when martial law is declared thats when i'm heading for the hills with my guns, dogs and family. sorry so long winded but it's just how i feel and i hope that gives you some insight as to who i am. thanks!

Feel better now?
I've got a few thoughts of my own on why this country is the way it is and where it is heading, but I don't think it's time to head for the hills just yet.
(aside) I know that a song mentions the Oklahoma hills, but I've been through that State and couldn't find any.

Welcome!
I am not a pacifist. Pacifism is a shifty doctrine under which a man accepts the benefits of the social group without being willing to pay - and claims a halo for his dishonesty. Life belongs to those who do not fear to lose it
