RICHMOND, Va. --

Police were searching this morning for a group of about 15 young men believed to have committed an assault and a violent robbery in rapid succession on Virginia Commonwealth University's main academic campus in downtown Richmond.

Neither victim was seriously injured in the two attacks, which occurred along Shafer Street on the Monroe Park campus about 2:55 a.m.

VCU and Richmond police described the assailants as a group of 15 black males between the ages of 17 and 22.

The goal of banning so called hi-capacity magazines is so those 15 "urban yoofs" can beat, rape, and kill (in any order) you with ease.

Get your pronunciation right. It's "urban yoots".

So lets say you were carrying there and were accosted. There are 15 of them....I hope you have a big capacity gun.....the one I carry has only 7 rounds. Now I carry two extra mags, but good heavens what terrible odds there. Of course without a gun you have no chance but to plead for mercy from those that have none. So at least a weapon gives you options.

I think they would all scatter when asked, "Which ten of you want to die first?" Probably no need to fire a single shot.

Good thing I have 15+1 capacity. Somebody is getting shot twice. :coffee:

It makes me consider carrying the 15 round magazine for my SR40C instead of the 10 round one

You'll have to be quick to get them all in the front because the cowardly "undocumented children" will turn tail and run the minute that they realize they no longer have a 15 to 1 advantage. You know that you can't shoot them in the asp, no matter how much they deserve it. :pistol:

That would make a good challenge for "Top Shot".

Actually, there was a study on riots done (learned this in my CRJ degree) that says if you target the main trouble maker, the others fail to act.

So when out of 15, I have ONE whose acting like the leader... and I'm in fear for my life, no warning shots, no conversations, no begging...

One shot, between the eyes....

Then look to see whose pulling a weapon, they're next, as I get to cover (NOT CONCEALMENT...COVER)....

Will I catch some hell, and possibly get injured? Sure, but if I gotta die? It ain't gonna be on my knees BEGGIN'.

Yep. That emotional contagion that got 'em all charged up just evaporates when the instigator is removed from the equation.
