Battlefield Guns and Ammo - Chesapeake, VA

If you got a good deal or great service from a shop or range and you want to brag about them, here's the place to do it. Likewise, if you are unhappy about someone's service or feel like you've been ripped off, we want to know that too!

Battlefield Guns and Ammo - Chesapeake, VA

Post by FenrirKildar »

Chesapeake finally has a gun shop in the area! Been buying stuff from Donald there since July and been pretty happy. If he doesn't have it he is willing to order it for you. Only downside is he has a small store but he tries hard to keep it filled with what people want, and generally if you do an order for a gun he gets it to you in less than a week. Also does trades, and buys from people as well. Its nice to have a serious gun shop in Chesapeake rather than doing what I used to do was drive to Virginia Beach in order to buy stuff. Check him out if you live in Chesapeake!

X2 on this one. Donald is great and so are his parents (the rest of the staff!!) Can't say enough good about them.

How are his Glock prices?
I am AD military so I qualify for the discount but apparently a Gen 4 G19 is impossible to find around here (at least for a decent price). My options so far are to wait till VA Gun & Sports Supply in Newport News is open again (and I keep hearing sour things about their staff), or Bob's Guns in Norfolk. VA Gun will sell at the LE price, but Bob's sells at $499 and has night sights and 4 mags total (so not a bad deal). But I am open to buying from a good staff!

I just picked up a 22 Rifle from him. Nice people. Very helpful.
The rifle was perfect at the range but I had some issues taking it down for cleaning.
Donald made things right!
It's a lot easier to stay local instead of hoofing it up to VB or Norfolk. Great to have a decent honest shop around!
My gun is like an adult diaper,
I wear it daily & no one has to know, until the day "crap happens"

I'd like to put in a good word for this shop too. Donald sold me a SA XD9 in Dec and gladly matched Buds online price. I've also spoke with his father, also a nice experience. I'm planning my next purchase and I'll give them serious consideration. I'd rather support the smaller business, we need as many gun shops as we can get.

Seems like the link in the original post is no god. Do these guys have a website? Someone ask the next time you're in there. I'm disabling the link for now.

Seems like someone should come up with 15 bucks to renew it!

They might want to pick a better image for their website....this Glock looks a bit beat up.

Thanks for the updated link. I was just trying to access the old webpage and saw the notice. I did a Google search and a link to this thread was on top.

I had visited Battlefield Guns shortly after they opened. Their staff was friendly, but their store was tiny and hard to see from the main road. I wasn't sure how they would do. I visited again last week, and was pleased to see that they have relocated to a larger and more prominent suite in the same shopping center, and they seemed to be doing a brisk business. Always good to see a small business thriving. The staff was very helpful, the prices were very reasonable, and they had a good variety of guns to suit a range of tastes.
