Thanks, I got to get more mags and mag carriers for the steel match next month. I have this feeling this is going to get expensive lol!Chasbo00 wrote:I'm always trying to get young shooters to give competition shooting a try. I've seen more than a few give it go and let me tell you all that Jake has the talent to become a top notch competition shooter. He was shooting his M&P for the first time and there is no way he looked like someone shooting his first match. He looked like an experienced shooter with good speed and especially good accuracy. Way to go Jake - you did that pistol proud yesterday! I look forward to seeing you at the steel match next month. I think we got you hooked.Jakeiscrazy wrote:Shot IDPA for the first time yesterday, it was a blast! Definitively very challenging and good practice. Thanks to Chasbo00 for inviting me and showing how it's all done. I even got to shoot a little steel before I left. I'll definitively be out there next time I'm off and they have a match.

You can get by comfortably with three mags and two carriers if you shoot this steel match in limited division since you can load your mags to full capacity. If you shoot in production division then you are limited to 10-rounds max per magazine. For production division in this match, I recommend 5 magazines and four mag pouches as the minimum. I shoot this steel match in limited division even though I shoot a production division gun.Jakeiscrazy wrote: Thanks, I got to get more mags and mag carriers for the steel match next month. Your right about this sport being a hit on your wallet. Hopefully the above info will save you a little in the short term. See ya next month at Black Creek.
