Razr v. Razr Maxx

Post by widefat »

SO why is the MAXX 2x the cost of the regular RAZR (199 v 99 at Verizon, respectively).
Is it solely the longer battery life?

Yup. My wife is a dealer for VZW and she sells a lot of the RAZR MAXX because people are going to burn through battery life using 4G.

The batteries on either phone aren't easily accessible, but some people have gotten the RAZR MAXX battery and back cover to fit on the RAZR.

Just get the galaxy nexus. Then you can change out batteries or pick up the extended life. Fact of the matter is that all three will suck on battery life with 4g on.

Not like I'm bias toward the nexus or anything tho...

I personally was looking at the Nexus. I'm tired of manufacturers putting their own skins on top of Android. Very nice screen too, but my wife has returned a lot of them from customers citing low volume. If you consider the Nexus make sure you get a volume demo (same thing for all phones you consider).
