Re: Welcome to the Family - S&W 4043
It's Double Action Only (DAO). Not sure if I'll like that or not. Will have to check it out at the range soon.

Glad to see you beat DK to it.
Nice pistol. And a .40 to boot, I'm partial to .40's. DAO, welcome to my world. Every semi-auto I have, with 1 exception, is DAO. It's not that bad after you get used to the trigger pull. 2 of mine have no safety (not really need with DAO) so the DAO is nice when I carry them.

Nice score, Rick. Glad you picked it up. I was contemplating a DAO .45 but went with the 1911 because of the trigger pull. You can't go wrong with a Smith.
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Ok, I read somewhere here that you took the .40 to the range. How did it do for ya??

Re: Welcome to the Family - S&W 4043
It was great - I really enjoyed it. 25 yards is a bit tough - I might have to figure out something in the 10 to 15 yard range to take with me next time. I really like the .40 though. I also need to get a speedloader. After loading only 4 and a half magazines, my thumb was hurting a bit. What a wuss, huh

After filling 50 or so mags you'll be able to do it all day and never be bothered by it.
