I helped to change a law!!!

Post by ProShooter »

I had a thought one day that there should be an exemption under 18.2-308 for someone to carry their handgun concealed to a firearms training class, so that they could learn about it. I brought this idea up to the VCDL and they found a sponsor, Sen. Frank Ruff, Jr. The law passed and becomes effective July 1, 2012.

Read the highlighted text here - 18.2-308 (B)(11) - http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504 ... AP0291+hil

Thanks to the VCDL and Sen. Ruff for making this happen!

Congratulations, and thanks for getting involved in the legislative process

As a instructor, will this change the way you conduct classes in regards to students possibly carrying a firearm AND ammunition during classroom instruction?

Does this make you one of those evil lobbyists Der Fuhrer keeps talking about?

Seriously, congratulations on having made a difference.

Good for you!!!
We continue to be exasperated by the view, apparently gaining momentum in certain circles, that armed robbery is okay as long as nobody gets hurt! The proper solution to armed robbery is a dead robber, on the scene.
