Are there any specifics on the laws regarding "Printing" (i.e. having a concealed pistol outlined under clothing)?

IANAL, but considering that OC is 100% legal here if you are 18+, I don't think printing would lead to any legal issues, unless you were to deliberately show the outline of your gun in an effort to threaten someone...

Nope! You can even carry your gun completely unconcealed! Isn't VA a great state?

Defeats the purpose, but it's not illegal.
Most of the time? Depending on how you carry? (shrugs) People assume it's a "Smart Phone", as opposed to an "Evil Gun".

Great points. I haven't carried my pistol here in VA. I carried all the time in Florida.

People carry so much dumb stuff on their belts (phones), that most people won't notice.

It seems like intent and attitude is what gets folks bent out of shape and not the presence of a gun.

Re: "Printing"
I know I've printed on occasion. Even friends assumed I had some new gadget.
I did accidentally flash yesterday getting out of the car. Family at Dulles Town Center noticed. I wonder if hey told someone as a sheriff shortly after took a long look at me while I was having coffee, but he moved on. He might have been checking out my awesome iPad case, TBH.

I was getting my haircut and the lady asked me to take off my jacket. I was about to, but then I remembered that I had my Smith 627 in a pancake holster at 4:00. I said, "No I'm fine. I feel cold anyways."

This! I try to remain concealed when I am CC, but if it happens to show I am not going to cry about it.Reverenddel wrote:(shrugs) Ain't illegal, and I ain't concerned.

my philosophy.... To be honest, when I carry most people assume I'm some sort of LEO or secret service. Guess I have that look. I transferred high schools twice many years ago of course, but both times the students at the new schools all though I was an undercover. It was hard to make friends with some of them. Others kinda came around out of curiosity and some just didn't care either way.mamabearCali wrote:This! I did have some one ask me "why do you carry that gun?". My response was "why don't you carry a gun?". Today's society has it backwards IMHO.
I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.
