Korean war vet shoots home invader with Luger

Too bad it was just a bit off, but I bet he never tries to rob an old person again:

There will be no charges filed, but the police have Fred's gun, huh? Wonder if that German Luger will get seized, held as evidence until the old guy dies, or just "lost"?

I'm glad the old fella came out on top. But, about his comment on not hitting anything with a .45, he's clearly gone senile!

Maybe at his age he can't keep his wrist stiff.

I've heard that Livestrong is teaming with Phizer Pharmaceuticals to offer a Viagra version of their wristband for just that reason.

And here I always thought that a German Lugar was a 9 M.M. Altho they did make 2 or 3 in .45 cal. for test and evaluation. It just might be that someone else is in fact senile.

You're right. Leaves me wondering if the fact that I didn't pick up on that may just be an artifact of the sad fact that I ain't no spring chicken myself. Do you reckon he can't remember it's a 9mm, or just can't remember if he hit anything or not? :hysterical:

I think you guys misinterpreted his comment regarding a .45. He said; "hard to hit anything with a .45, but a Luger is a very well balanced gun." I think he was saying the Luger is an easy to shoot pistol, whereas the 1911 .45 ACP is not. He also said he carried his Luger during the Korean war. He seemed like a pretty mentally sharp guy to me.

I think we'd already pretty much decided we might be the senile ones.

I have my senior moments too. Senior moment - that's a euphemism for an old guy spring loaded in the dumb-ass position for some act or spoken word.
