Birthday gun!

Post by MrJog »

I have a birthday next month and I'm going to get a new gun. I'm thinking of something around $500 that would be another good carry gun. I have plenty of big guns already. So I am going for something practical this time. I don't need anymore guns, I just want another toy. SUGGESTIONS?

There are some many guns in that price range that are excellent. Khars, Rugers, S&Ws, Glocks the list goes on and on. Do you have a caliber preference? What the largest gun you feel you could carry comfortably?

I have a holsters for most of the guns I have here in "My Arsenal." I even have a holster for the Desert Eagle. But I always go for the Glock 19 to carry. I like the G19 but in the summer it is harder to conceal. I tried to go look at a Ruger LC9 today but the shop I was at didn't have one. If I had more money I would be looking into one of the compact Kimber 1911s. But with my budget I think will be looking more into guns like LC9, or maybe G26/27. Has to be in a caliber I load 9mm, 357 mag, 10mm/.40, 41 mag, 44 mag, 45ACP, 50AE, .500 mag. So I think that will narrow it down to .9 or .40, unless someone makes a .45 smaller than the 9mm G19 I carry.

Birthday gun!

I carry a GLOCK 30 .45. It is smaller than my 19 , but a little thicker. It carries better than the 19 in the summer. Though a 26 or 27 is probably the best concealable firearm as far as reliability, capacity, size, huge aftermarket, and ease to operate/maintain. I'd go with one of those if you want 9mm or .40cal.
I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.

How about an Advantage Arms .22 conversion kit for your Glock, so you can shoot more?
