Hey Folks,
I've had my CHP for a few months now. I can't carry all the time, but I do try to CC often. So far I have only carried my J-frame (642), but I have carried it in pocket with Blackhawk pocket holster, OWB with a Hume JIT holster, and OWB but under the belt with a Sleeping Dog concealment holster. The Sleeping Dog can be used IWB or OWB, but I find that it feels more stable & comfy in between.
These options work well with my summer wardrobe, but as we approach fall and winter, I'm supposing that I can look at options to carry a larger revolver when the mood hits me. I have a 4" barrel .357mag Ruger GP-100.
Anyone CC a medium sized revolver? I've looked at different holsters, even Maxpedition bags & "Jack Packs", etc. on the internet, but thought I would see what opinions you guys have.

Medium framed revolver - carry options?
Re: Medium framed revolver - carry options?
In warm weather I use my man-bag with the built in holster. In cooler weather, I have a few leather vests with CCW pockets and elastic retention straps in them. Way cool and you can easily conceal a cannon wearing one!

Re: Medium framed revolver - carry options?
I finally broke down and ordered a Bianchi Pro IWB. Got tired of having to clean a pistol every time I get home. Had a chance to check one out up close and they are nice and very reasonably priced.
I'm thinking about a vest for cooler weather. Speedy would appreciate if you recommend an online dealer?
I wonder if Rick can get those?

No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

I wish I could. I acquired my vests through the kindness of others. As a "thank you", I posted the "reviews" and the names and all the info I had on the makers of those vests. I got my man-bag from E. S. Ramey and they were great folks to deal with and they are at many of the area gun shows.
Here are a few pics of my Man-Bag:

As you can see, it has tons of pockets and pouches and a cell phone caddy on it. The holster compartment comes with a "universal holster" that has held a Model 10-8, 1911A1 (full size) and my daily carry P-11 with ease. The pocket is Velcro lined on both sides as is the holster thingey. It also comes with a strap that serves as a spare magazine holder. I will post a full review and pics here shortly. You would not believe all the crap I carry in there!
