2011 Record Year for Gun Sales in VA

Post by KaosDad »

http://exm.nr/AoQeFk
In 2011 gun sales in the commonwealth reached a record high. Part of this historic purchase of firearms came as a result of the holiday splurge for firearms in December.

In total, 321,166 firearms were sold in 2011. In December alone 41,957 were sold according to the VA State Police data of mandatory criminal-background checks for purchases of firearms.
The rest of the article is anti-gun drivvel, so, don't bother with the clicky.

It turns out that the author claims to be pro 2A, has just never had experience/exposure to guns, and seems to be a very reasonable individual - despite how you may have interpreted his "anti-gun drivvel".

From the article wrote:Of course, guns rights advocates insist that possessing a firearm increases individual safety. On the other hand, there are those who question the logic of using a firearm as a safety device.

The thought of someone standing beside me in a supermarket with a loaded handgun, however, doesn't make me feel secure in that environment. In fact, I feel much less secure. How would you feel about standing next to someone in the shopping mall with a concealed handgun? Given the data from 2011, it appears more likely that this scenario will arise at some point in time.

Nah ............... I'm probably lying. What if I’m really Sarah Brady's nephew Clarence, lurking to assemble a dossier on all you wild-eyed gun crazies. Just wait 'till Master Obama's been re-elected. BWAH HAH HAH…………. :tinfoil:
