Pakistan is heavily controlled by its Army, who houses alot of Al-qaeda people. Theres a great deal of tension between it military elite and the civilian rulers, its dirt poor, corrupt as hell, and Islamic fundamentalism is always on the rise.
Iran is
relatively modern and has a more educated populace and more friends on the world stage like Russia and China.

And why would this nuke business start after we "regime changed" Iraq? Iran hadn't invaded anyone, what did they stand to lose?
They were listed under "axis of evil" remember? Iraq, Iran, and North Korea.
Words, believe it or not have consequences. Their nuclear (bomb-they had a peaceful nuclear program since the late 50's-provided by the US) program started in 2002..the January 2002 state of the union address was the "axis of evil" one.
Coincidence? I think not.
They probably figured they were next, so, uranium enrichment began.
I saw today Obama ordered all account activity with the Iranian Central bank frozen, so, I mildly suspect the first "shot" was just fired in WW3.
I'm all a titter with anticipation.
