Re: Exploding targets
It sounds like someone is about to be put on a no-fly list soon

Re: Exploding targets
I'm thinking (since you have a .308 listed in your arsenal) you need some Raufoss Super Incendiary ammo to go along with it!!

I quit flying years ago after flying with my MIL and FIL in their plane. Scared the crap out of me.OakRidgeStars wrote:It sounds like someone is about to be put on a no-fly list soon+
I do have some .308 tracers but I'm not putting them through my rifle. I'm scared they will screw something up and affect accuracy.CCFan wrote:I'm thinking (since you have a .308 listed in your arsenal) you need some Raufoss Super Incendiary ammo to go along with it!!![]()

Re: Exploding targets
Actually, that round I linked to detonates on impact (supposedly - I've never fired it, don't have any place to test that, otherwise I'd probably) so it's not supposed to burn like a tracer... I just figured the ~5000 degree explosion on impact could only help ensure a nice, loud bang...
But I understand not wanting to shoot those types of ammo. Let us know how the targets work out!

Here's a tannerite explosion. Don;t turn this video up too loud - there's a lot of whoopin' and hollerin' after it goes boom.

Re: Exploding targets
Thats pretty cool. Was that contrails from a jet or a flare from the explosion. Look at the upper right after it explodes. No wonder they had it so far away...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Re: Exploding targets
Well it went BOOM
I went over Sgt.Bill's place and we set it on top of a 5gal bucket 100 yards away. I didn't get the full effect of the boom because I was wearing ear plugs but it was something to see.
It blew the bottom out of the bucket and shredded the rest of it. I can see a case of them in the near future.

Holy Crap! That is neat.
Re: Exploding targets
Wow, those are cool! If you liked them, check out the ones we sell at Ozarkpyro.com! Unlike Tannerite, we are currently working on new explosive creations non-stop. We believe we also may of found a way to make them much cheaper, so keep an eye out for that!
We also just redesigned our site! Give it a look-see!

Re: Exploding targets
This question came up during the Shoot and Greet on Saturday... Does Tannerite explode violently enough to bust up a beaver dam or other similar type of application?
Re: Exploding targets
Rick I believe it would put a hurtin' on a beaver dam, even better when 2 or 3 are mixed together. Iv'e mixed 2 together and it was a BIG bang. Plus you don't have to worry about setting anything on fire, the dust from it will put out a fire according to the instructions. I have 4 or 5 left that I'm saving for June 5 and I may try mixing 3 and blowing up a 5 gallon water jug or something.
Re: Exploding targets
From the videos it looks like they could be fun target to aim for lol

So, has anyone shot at & hit one of those small Coleman Camp propane cans? Is is that just "Hold ma'beer" dumb?

Re: Exploding targets
It's redneck dumb and yes Iv'e been very tempted to try it but for now I'll stick to the tannerite, it's safer WHEN USED PROPERLY.KaosDad wrote:So, has anyone shot at & hit one of those small Coleman Camp propane cans? Is is that just "Hold ma'beer" dumb?

Re: Exploding targets
If you do it from 200 yards away, what could it possibly hurt?Vahunter wrote:It's redneck dumb and yes Iv'e been very tempted to try it but for now I'll stick to the tannerite, it's safer WHEN USED PROPERLY.KaosDad wrote:So, has anyone shot at & hit one of those small Coleman Camp propane cans?
