I have been a gun owner and hunter in Virginia since I was 10. After I married and began a career, my hunting dwindled to nothing. Firearms have always been present but not flaunted in our family; not collected but handed down or obtained for a specific purpose.
My father passed away, so my brother and I divided the firemarms. I live in a neigborhood where discharging is illegal and I only hunt varmints on our farm in the Valley. I am retired and working part-time. I want to get a conceal and carry permit but am not in a great rush due to more urgent priorties.
I would like sell some of the long guns and perhaps one of my handguns, so any legal and true advice on how and where to do so with the best reslut is welcome.
Thanks!

Welcome aboard!
There's a marketplace here where a lot of people list and sell weapons. You can post your for sale items there -> http://vgof.net/marketplace/
THe main thing to consider with regard to selling a privately owned firearm is that you cannot sell to anyone who you have a reason to believe is restricted from owning a firearm (i.e. a felon or someone with a restraining order against them, etc). I commonly accepted that for a personal sale, just asking the buyer "Are you legally eligible to own a firearm" is sufficient on the seller's side of things. If they lie, then that's on them.

Thank you for the info.
Hopefully I'll get the listing information together so there will be accurate descriptions of the firearms I want to sell.
