AOL Browser - Please install FireFox

I have had a couple of complaints from people regarding the way this site looks in the AOL browser. After some investigation, I have found that the AOL browser is not compatible with some of the style elements in the site.

Please take a moment to install FireFox in order to view this site as it is intended to be viewed.

The two main problems mentioned by AOL users:
1) The RSS feed in the right menu overlaps the site content.
2) Registration does not show the "Verification Text" in the box. Believe this may be due to havgin Javascript turned off by default in the AOL browser.

So, again - please install FireFox and all your troubles will be a thing of the past

I use Firefox and love it. Its a bit more streamlined that IE and has some nice features like built in spell checker. AOL? Whats that?

Are you being facetious? AOL - America OnLine - They have their own browser that is sorely lacking in several key areas.

I talked to someone the other day that was still using their AOL dialup account. I wonder if they still watch a black & white TV set too

Laugh all you want, some of us have no choice but to use dial up. Even using satellite is questionable where I live. On the other hand I only have to step out my back door for target practice and deer hunting consists of removing a screen (wife gets upset over holes in the screens) from the kitchen window then sitting at the table drinking coffee and watching for deer.

I used to own and run an Internet dial up service and I picked up alot of customers who were actually making long distance calls just to use AOL. Once I showed them they could make a local call using my service and then point their browser to AOL they were hooked.

I say "AOL Whats that" becuase I didnt realize anyone even used them anymore. I'm surprised they are still around
