Getting the kids ready!

Post by Valleyhunter »

Hey Guys, just checking in to see how everyone's season is going. This is the best season I have had in years....and I have not shot a thing. But I have had both my kids with me on several hunts and it's been a blast. The first morning of muzzle-loader my son and I saw 11 deer, 2 were bucks and the small 8 gave me a broadside 25 yrd. shot so I took the shot and just a pfft sound with a little smoke ugh! he trotted off and didn't seem spooked. I looked over and you could see the disappointment in the eyes of my 9 year old son. Oh well he lived for another shot. Saw a few doe that same evening with my daughter too. Good news is he is still hanging around I got this photo 3 days after we shot at him in the same area. We have nicknamed him "Heartbreaker" (since everyone names their bucks on their property) :^) . They are both dialed in for rifle season so hopefully I can post a few hero shots for them. Good Hunting!!!

Better luck next time. Enjoy the time with your kids. It seems like mine were just born yesterday, and today one is a junior in college and the other is a junior in high school.

Where did the time go? :dunno:
