My new toy (pics soon)

Post by thekinetic »

I just like to say I bought a new toy today, and like the title says I'll post pics as soon as I can my dang camera.

Anyways it's a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm. I like it so far but haven't fired it yet, soon though soon! The story went like this I went to Virginia Arms to browse their selection, particularly looking for either a Ruger Mark III, Glock 17, S&W model 10, or a Walther PK380. But when all they had of them was the Glock I decide to look at it, the clerk let me hold both it and the gen 4 17. I told him I preferred the original because of the grip and he then showed me the S&W M&P 9mm.

Well the I liked it and despite much indecision between the Glock and S&M between weight, pounds of pressure to pull the slide, and feel of the grips I went with S&W in the end. Mainly because the clerk was knowledgable enough to tell me that when firing the Glock for extended periods the pressure points start to wear on your hands. So I felt the grips again and found the S&W more comfortable.

So there's the story of my new toy a gun unlooked for but loved at first site!

 IMO you made the right choice and got a better gun!

I see it's the next gun on your list, so I should probably tell you I got mine at a good price from Viginia Arm Co. in Manassas. It cost $525 and considering it's MSRP is $565 it's a good deal.

No I'm not advertising for them just trying to drum up a little buisness for those nice folks!

I just got to fire it today and it is nice, it shot a little low but that could just be my aiming was off. Though I did burn through a box of 50 bullets a little fast but I had my judge and half a box of .45s so no worries at least until I have to clean them all including the two guns my dad was shooting! :pistol:

But wrost is I AM COMPLETELY OUT OF AMMO!
