Had a rather disturbing conversation with a gun shop owner recently. We got to talking about New York State and what a pain they are. Apparently NYS ran their own "Operation Gunrunner" operation on VA gun shop owners. Here's what I was told...
Someone in New York City's administration is apparently sending people to Virginia to buy guns, take them to NYC. Now Bloomburg is trying to sue VA and gun shop owners in 4 states for supplying illegal guns.

Looks like Blooomberg is not satisfied with declaring NYC a Free Kill Zone - he wants to spread the misery.
Don't know about you but this really ticks me off. It's time we it very clear to the Bloombergs of the country that the 2nd amendment is NOT negotiable.
And I really despise the practice of trying to use the courts to make law.

Yeah, this happened five years ago. It's old news.
The legislature even passed a law to make it more illegaler.

Further research indicates several developments occurred since this story first broke. I found this record of the proceedings:

Meanwhile the last ruling looks like really bad news to a layman like myself. The way I see it, the NYC-based Judge Weinstein laid a heavy hand on the proceedings. The defense refused to put up a case in protest and said action was construed as a waiver of the right to challenge the verdict on appeal.
The whole deal looks pretty lopsided to me.
I'd say we all lost this one.

Cuchinelli should press charges against Bloomberg for conspiracy. Why isn't the ATF going after him for these straw purchases? I know it's old, but I don't think the statute of limitations applies here.
