Transporting rifles to range & throughout the state

Post by m4a1mustang »

Hey guys,

Since I got my AR I am going to be hauling it around to the range with me a lot, I have been wondering if the having the rifle in the trunk with a clear chamber, no magazine inserted, but loaded magazines in the rifle case, or range bag next to the rifle bag in the trunk count as unloaded? Is this legal?

It would be nice to head to the range with all of my PMAGs loaded and ready to go.

Yes, it's legal. You really only need to worry about it if you're out hunting.
