I'm working on lists, sorting through things and putting together kits for bug in/out scenarios. Plastic food storage containers work well for organizing items. Fortunately, being out and away from most of the foolishness gives me more time and probably more warning.

Living out in the country does have its benefits. More time, more warning... Also, your neighbors are a little more likely to be prepared, as well, and have a rather self-reliant mindset, so neighbors are more likely to band together, as opposed to turn on each other.

Bug out?
In my country we had people who bug out in the mountains. They lasted couple years. Eventually all were captured and killed.
It's not working.

AS a motorcycle rider I always had zip lock bags that kept my gear dry. Brother was going to Europe to go and tour by back pack. I said let me pack for you. He and his buddy go to the hostels. They walked quite a bit and it did rain often. They get to the hostel for the evening. He opens my packed backpack and everythig was dry!! His buddy, not so much!

Make a list of your past and current liberties. Write them on a paper. Save that for your grandchildren, or whatever you will have in 20 years.
They will ask you how you have lost all those liberties (and theirs too). I'm curious what will be your excuse.
