I know this is a long shot but have any of you shot both? I am in the market for a .45 CC pistol and was wondering if the slimmer slide on the 30S is really worth it. With the regular 30 there are many different caliber choices with barrel and mag swaps, not so with the 30S. Any input from those who...

My primary carry is the 19, I will end up buying the 43 once it comes out. The shame of it is I need more than one spare mag to get the 19's capacity. This may end up being my hiking friend.

Where exactly in Loudoun do you plan on hunting? I used to hunt in Waterford and could shoot any caliber (above .22 for deer) but mainly just used bow or black powder. I have never heard of the 50 acres or more, reading laws requires a degree in rocket science now...

My wife's grandmother gave me an old .32 that I would like to get refinished. By refinished I mean operable and maybe reblued, pretty much an overhaul. Anyone have any recommendations?

Have you checked the Vortex line? I just purchased the "Spitfire" for my AR which is not what you are looking for but they are decently priced. Saved $100 buying on Amazon from one of Vortex's dealers.
