Re: gilbert's small arms Lorton/Springfield
Ok, I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt before re: their "lack" of customer service and I explained how to get around that and even a night or two to visit. As for the "hot" air on the lanes, it's going to be HOT during the summer months. I have been shooting ther...

Re: open carry
I open carry in NoVA everyday no exceptions. I have open carried for the past 3-months - without incident. Yesterday we held an open carry event at Fuddruckers in Fairfax. Approximately 20 people sat at the main table (all open carry). In addition, there were approximately five other patron that wer...

Re: Looking for FFL dealer for transfer in Alexandria
I have a yearly Gold membership at Gilberts (now Sharpshooters) - I would NOT recommend them for anything. I called today to arrange a transfer - they stated they would not do a transfer from the online store where I am arranging a purchase. The good folks down at Gilberts / Sharpshooters are not go...

Re: gilbert's small arms Lorton/Springfield
Today I called Gilbert's (Sharp Shooters) to arrange a transfer of a pistol I am in the processing of purchasing from an online website. I spoke with "Robert." I was told that Gilberts does not accept transfers from Centerfire Systems located at http://www.centerfiresystems.com/ because ce...

Re: gilbert's small arms Lorton/Springfield
I note that Tinygnat219 did not dispute the lack of a/c on the range. Look, if things were so great at Gilberts - then why in the world did they need to close down and "remodel"? There were lanes that routinely were not operational, it seems it may be fixed. However, it does not appear tha...

Re: gilbert's small arms Lorton/Springfield
I havr been going to Gilberts (now Sharp Shooters) since joining in March 2009. Yes, the range equipment is improved. The air flow is bad, and it is hot on the range. Why there is little to no a/c is beyond me. I have been there weekdays, weeknights, weekends, the range is not well regulated for com...

Re: Handgun Carry in the Post Office.. Opinions
I have first hand knowledge that not only it is illegal to bring a firearm and/or ammo on USPS property (to include parking lot's), it is also a crime that will likely result in the maximum punishment under the Law when (notice I did not write "if") the patron and/or employee is convicted....

Re: Handgun Carry in the Post Office.. Opinions
The USPS is a federal government entity. It would not only be best to leave your gun in the truck - it may be best if you do not have the truck (or car) which contains a gun or ammo on USPS property.
