Yep. Sorry about that just minutes earlier I was on a 1911 board. Guess I thought I was still thereDW44VH wrote:Dreghorn,
Thanks for the reply.
I asume you are talking about a 1911 as you did not mention what pistol.

Re: Tucker Leather - "The Answer" Holster
I have one, and love it except for one thing. The body guard on mine does not seem to be wide enough and if wearing it while working around the house I have noticed that it will sometimes flip the safety off. Not an issue when wearing it out and about. I have a fix for it, just haven't gotten around...

Re: Opinions Sig P238
I have a P238 and like it very much. I have only put 200 rounds through it and only had 1 stove pipe. I just put Wolf springs in it a few nights ago as they were a gift, and have not had a chance to see if they make any difference. Even without the spring upgrade I would have recommended the gun fr...

Re: Upcoming Potential Hit Piece
They also mentioned briefly that they spoke to a representative from the State Police that did not think that the on-line course met the requirements for a concealed carry permit. I sent them an e-mail that gave them the VA SP website with all the requirements, and suggested that there next story sh...

Re: Colt Commander back from Mario Ruffino
Dang, I didn't know Mario was still around. I had him do some custom work on a Randall I had many years ago. He was always an interesting man to talk to. How can I get in touch with him, can someone PM me a phone number and address of his shop.

Re: The Marksman (Newport News, Va)
Not sure when my last visit to the marksman was (some time in August) but I had no problems. They wanted to check the ammo I would be using at their range, but other than that they were very pleasant and had a few positive comments about the CBOB I was carrying. Plan on hitting the range again tomor...

I always find it interesting that so many will say, "Give thanks," but never tell you who to give thanks to. I would never tell some one else who to "give thanks" to. Give thanks to your Deity of choice! After all, this is America and we may all worship (or not) as we choose. I ...

I carry a 1911 in a Crossbreed SuperTuck at 2:30 on strong side, and my cell phone at 3 on weak side to help balance out the look. Haven't had anybody make me yet, at least no one that's said anything.

I try to live by these simple truths spoken by folks far more "Enlightened" than I. This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness. Dalai Lama All major religious tradition...

Only one, an 1863 Remington Zouave. I have only fired it one time, I'm sure it's had many a round fired through it in it's lifetime though!

Re: reliable .22 semi-auto pistol
Another recommendation for the Ruger MK II, had one for years never had a lick of trouble out of it. Also have a Smith and Wesson 622 and never had a real problem with it either.
