Re: ar accessories
slings, strong feelings on two point slings vs one point. 1-points are fine for short distance work, if you're not going overland, but if you want to hold the rifle to you, and keep it in place, a 2 point is really required. I standardized on the vikings tactical sling 2 point option. for carrying m...

Re: Selling Rifles in Virginia
As of July 1 2020 all transfers of firearms in Virginia must go through a FFL, even in state sales. There are no exemptions for transfers between family, so if your gift from your father in law was made after 1-july, that transfer should have been through a dealer. in case you have insomnia, and wan...

another vote for Rugers' revolvers. like the sp101 when i need small, but its not so friendly with full power magnums. The GP100 on the other hand is delightful in many respects, and even with full power loading is very pleasant to shoot. I like the smith's as well, but I've never been able to get a...

Re: New Member from CO
not sure how well lab radar would work indoors on a crowded range anyway. if this is a short term need I might be able to get you into a private outdoor range. +/- about an hour from NoVA. PM me about that. If its a recurring need, then you only have a very few options. IWLA in centerville. There is...

Re: 2020 Lobby Day coverage.
There is virtually nothing that marching is going to do, they have already decided what they are going to do. Less than 24 hours later 100% of the pro-gun bills were all defeated in committee. last election 28 seats held by democrats went unopposed. NO ONE EVEN TRIED to get elected in those district...

Re: Colt Re-Introduces Python For 2020
so Dan Wesson/CZ tried this a few years ago with the reintroduction of the 715. IMO a decade late. Seems mid size 357 revolvers were not that popular in 2015. And even though they haven't done a production run in a while, there are still plenty to choose from on GB. Including the blem's that came ou...

Re: Break-in Procedure for new Firearm
Why if a break in procedure was needed was it not included in your owners manual? Or almost any owners manual. why was the procedure given to you by your range buddies so arbitrary (repeat 5-10 times)? Why did you not get some way to measure what you were doing so you knew when you were done, done e...

I'm starting to get interested. What is the process, duration, total cost and best way to get one or more cans? Can someone educate me please? short version, find the item you want, buy it from the dealer. Dealer fills out a Form 4. You fill out your sections, add photos, finger prints, and $200 ch...

Its always good to have other options, one of many reasons why there are generally electrical, and chemical options close at hand for me. There are to many situations that don't rise to deadly force, but you need to encourage someone to reconsider their choices.
