This. Majority of my travel is to MD, so it'll be nice to now just pull over just after/before Leesburg when crossing from the People's Repulik back to the Commonwealth.

I saw this and grabbed one. Might come in handy on my frequent trips to/thru MD.

Just thought I'd give this one a bump up since it's the first one I'll be working at since my baby girl was born. :-D

That is, assuming the misses is ok with it...

Re: Walther firearms?

Good job moving away from bersa and the .380 btw.. That was actually a hard parting. Having a friend that defended himself successfully with a .380 snapped me out of the ".380 sucks" club. And that Bersa had the sweetest DA trigger pull when compared to the PPK. That said, the controls we...

Re: Walther firearms?

I have two - P99 QA and PPS, both in 9mm. I decided on the P99 after trying several different pistols - Glock 17 and 19, Sig p229 and p239, Ruger P95 to name a few. While I really liked the Sigs (and still do) their price tag was outside of my budget for a pistol that I planned to train, shoot and c...

Rimfire scope recommendations

I have a Sears Mod 25 rifle that I'm looking to mount a scope on. I've been looking at the Tasco 4x scope and what I like about it are the price, low profile, and the price (a major selling point with the CFO of the house). However, what I REALLY don't like is the 3/4" MOA adjustments. While I'...

Re: Gun Safe Movers

At 400 lbs, this is doable by a couple of guys (whether it's you or them). I've used a good heavy duty hand truck with straps to lower my gun safe (~600 lbs) down about five steps before. Lean it back and make sure the guy below has some Spidey-moves and you should be good.

Re: Appleseed 2014 Events Now Available

It's one of my 2014 goals to attend this with my 8yr old son and 11yr old daughter! Should each child have their own rifle? How hands on is the instruction? Should I just plan on watching and helping the kids or is there enough supervision for me to engage in the class as well? (My kids are aware o...

Richmond martial arts recommendations

I'm looking for a martial art or some manner of self defense to take up and help turn some of this flab in to something a little more... useful. The only experience I actually have is about 6 months worth of aikido, and that was 10 years ago. Before relocating to VA I had a co-worker that was trying...

Re: The Showplace in Richmond - FYI !!!

I was actually quite impressed - this was my first gun show since moving up here a year ago. Hate that this was the end for them at this venue.

Handgun prices were good - ammo not so great - didn't even touch a black rifle. Waiting patiently (not really) on Sterling Arsenal to take more orders.

Been watching the updates from Sterling Arsenal (grumble, grumble) on FB - looks like prices are starting to come back down. Don't know if they're starting to take orders yet or not.

Green Top had CCI .22lr, 500 rds (I think?) for $33, limit 1 per customer.

Also had some Federal 9mm, 50 rds for $20, limit 1.

Sounds like you did right. If nothing else it helped reinforce what to do when/if something does happen.
