Re: Colt Python
For a decade I have seen "deals of a lifetime" on various forums and I'm always a day late and a dollar short. My ship cam in four years ago and sorry for the LONG delay in bragging... On a forum in another state where I used to live, occasionally there is a good deal on a firearm. ...

Re: DC Handgun Ban Nullificiation Decision
I suppose I'm the curmudgeon in this but, as another article pointed out, both DC and Chicago have been both obstinate and devious for, what, five years now in implementing the laws. I would love to be proven wrong that four years from now, we are still in the courts. What I expect as the best case ...

Parkerizing in Harrisonburg or C'ville?
I have an old coach gun that I want to "practice" on for some newbie restoration. I have been told that parkerizing is best for the barrels vs. bead blasting if I want a cerakote finish to adhere better. I am new to Virginia and Harrisonburg. Anyone know if there is a smith out here that c...

Where to Parkerize?
We recently moved to Harrisonburg. I would like to Parkerize an old coach gun that I have. Any recommendations for The Valley? I have weekly appointments in Charlottesville and am very occasionally in Nova and Richmond.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: So, Did I Screw Up, Or???
So, Did I Screw Up, Or??? Yes, yes you did. If you want to show someone your gun, do it behind closed doors. Your gun should have stayed in the holster. I'm not going to comment about the "fat, stupid idiot wasting oxygen", but you didn't do gun owners any favors with that move. Yup and y...

State Reciprocity
Mods, please move, if necessary. I think I posted this (not sure) when I was doing business in Colorado. I was surprised that there is no reciprocity with that state. Can anyone share a link, name, attorney general, or whatever to see if I can find out why and if there is anything I can do to bring ...

I'm not an FFL but would like to become one. So, can you least explain the nomenclature. I lost you with the antonyms.

Re: Top Gun Indoor Shooting Range - Harrisonburg, Va
Just a dated comment on Ashby Arms. I beg to differ. It's not "a crappy little cave" and it cost you nothing to make that comment. I have been to the "crappy little firearm caves" and Ashby Arms is nothing like that. They carry a surprising array of middle to top-of-the line fire...

Ashby Arms, Harrisonburg
I'm new to Virginia and new to Harrisonburg. By luck or logic I found Ashby Arms about a mile from my house. Service is good, FFL fees reasonable, and, as a troll for good firearm deals on the web, I was more than surprised at the (pardon the pun) caliber of quality firearms AND reasonable prices. D...

Re: Conceal Carry Reciprocity
I checked that out as well but I believe that is referring to residents of the state of Colorado. There is zero flex, I think, for "out-of-staters" who do not carry a CCW that has reciprocity with Colorado. My former docile of AZ had great reciprocity in regard to states that allowed CCW.

Conceal Carry Reciprocity
Mods, please move if in wrong forum. I just moved this summer from Arizona to Virginia. I did recently get my Virginia CCW. My organization's HQ is in Colorado. As I was walking through my travel do-list template, I started to get things in order for declaring a weapon for my airline flight. A littl...

District of Columbia?
A good friend is giving me the use of his condo next week in DC - blocks from all the historical stuff. Wow! Now, I know to not even think about CC here. My question is this: when traveling from Va. to DC, what must I do to secure a weapon legally? When living in AZ, I would pull over just before cr...

New member/resident from Harrisonburg
Greetings from "The Valley". We just moved here two months ago from Tucson, AZ. Being a member of "Arizona Shooting" for the past decade, I thought it wise to link up with a Virginia gun owner forum. I look forward to any help/collective wisdom from Virginia residents on laws, fa...
