Re: Some good news
I have to add to my good news with this link: "Significantly, the government expressly acknowledges that non-automatic firearms up to .50-caliber – including modern semi-auto sporting rifles such as the popular AR-15 and similar firearms – are not inherently military." https://www.prnewswi...

Re: Building an outdoor range: How close from my own house?
That sounds great, good luck! I have looked into making my own range, but have not been able to buy the land yet. You might want to consider setting up some baffles to help with the noise, look at this image: https://usercontent2.hubstatic.com/13279267_f520.jpg From this article: https://skyaboveus....

Re: Looking for a New 9mm
I went with the Glock 34, gen 5. So far pretty happy with it. Went through 100 rounds with no problems. I might look into a new trigger, but definitely a reflex sight. Want to try to keep it under 200, any ideas?

Re: Looking for a New 9mm
That is a really nice grouping you have there. After looking into the costs to put a optic on, I am leaning towards a Glock 34. Still looking at the CZ options too.
Hope to do it in the next month and I will post some pics

Looking for a New 9mm
I am looking to get a full size 9 mm. This will be for target and casual competitions.
Would like something with a threaded 5 inch barrel, maybe glock or sig. Whats your ideas in these categories. I would like to be at the 500 to 700 price range, hopefully the lower end.

Re: Gun Free Zone core problem:
If having teachers carry is such a issue, why not authorize tasers, or pepper spray? I would like it if select teachers could carry, but if you could get others armed with less lethal defense I think that would be a solution. Better than nothing

Re: Trump: Ban Bump Stocks and Binary Triggers
Good points dorminWS. I know many people have voiced disappointment with NRA or other pro 2A groups, but this might be a good time to put up a extra $20, $30 or $40 to your favorite pro 2A group to help fight the tide of knee jerk reactions now.

Welcome to the area! Check out fair fax rod and gun club. They offer events to the public that are decently priced, but it is expensive to become a member. http://www.fxrgc.org They have a 22 shoot coming up in March. Most if not all the events are outdoor. This is a good idea, but where do you store it?
Do you put this online? Is that safe?

Still CC for me. I go with the idea of not wanting to draw attention that you may get with OC. I love it that VA is a OC state, and I dont have to worry about it if some one can tell I am carrying.

Re: 9mms
I purchased it new and have not had many problems. Your polishing sounds like a good idea I might try it. I did put 100 rounds of blazzer 9mm through it last weekend with no issues so that makes me feel better. Hope to test out some hp rounds and some cheap tulammo to see how that goes. I will post ...

I carry when I have the chance. I have a Ruger sr9c with a belly band holster. Its comfortable and holds the gun under the arm.
