Re: New Rifles and Pistols for the Army?
It was the SEALs who really hated the controls and decided to try the Submachine Gun ammo in the Berettas causing the cracking issues to show up. The redesign/ fix/ upgrade became known as the 92FS. Or Beretta produced special guns for the tests and then couldn't produce them properly at the cost t...

Re: New Rifles and Pistols for the Army?
This is not the case with just the Army, it's all US military. TV shows like Future Weapons are for our benefit, not soldiers. The most elite military units who conduct specialized, necessary and highly dangerous operations have these same old weapons. Meanwhile, we all are lead to believe through g...

Re: Anyone own a 300 AAC Blackout?
Man...everybody is buying one of these! Maybe I should have ordered one instead of a AR57...oh well, I'll be the odd man out. J1mmyd just got one too, I'll shoot his. Molfeens get the 300 BLK with 9" barrel, Suppressor... that is a sweet kit right there! If your gonna run a can, don't do 16&quo...

Re: Educate me on ARs, please
I own a lot of KAC complete guns, parts, optics and its all very nice but is it the nicest today, no. Would I buy a complete KAC rifle today, probably not. People want KAC because they associate it with military. One of the best business decisions Reed Knight made was to stop selling to consumers fo...

Re: Anyone know if this is a good quality pistol?
have you shot a 1911? I suggest everyone try one before they buy. I know there is a lot of love out there for them. I love the look, but I don't like them as a shooter. I have an old Colt Gold Cup in storage that I don't shoot. This is a really good point. Most of my civilian friends who shoot mine...

Re: So...what if this new ban gets passed?
Its unlikely that a ban encompassing all semi-auto's would go through. I don't even think an assault weapon ban would either, not this year at least. I do think they will further limit who can purchase, maybe raise rifle purchases to age 21 and impose invasive background checks and a much longer wai...

Re: My new Daniel Defense M4
I have that exact same M4 but with other sights and grips and, its ate probably 20k rounds with no problems that I can think of. If you're gonna do a trigger mod get the Geissele and don't fuss with anything else other then maybe KAC's 2-stage which is a work of proved perfection but pricey. Get a G...

Re: Opinions on Taurus PT1911?
That is a heck of an inexpensive 1911. A buddy bought one for $539 which is nuts for a 1911! I didn't like the fit and finish and the magazine wouldn't always seat so the mag would fall out but that's fixable. It's hard to say if its a good investment, some guys love them. The pro reviews give it hi...

Re: Any .50 BMG shooters here?
I don't have a way to haul big timber to a saw mill and paying someone who does is costly. I'm not interested in selling firewood either. I had tons of trees I pushed over, these guys were so large it wasn't worth cutting up except in 40' halves and then pushing them in piles. I then burned them las...

Re: Any .50 BMG shooters here?
I've been contemplating such an endeavor for a while. I have a large parcel near Winchester which is also amazing for hunting. Roads getting in are really tough (think Afghanistan). This is as deep in the mountains as you can get and its mix pasture and thick forest. It would be really nice to have ...

Re: The Great Ammo Shortage of 2013? A solution
If anyone is looking for brass I'm swimming in it and would love to offload some. I have mixed military 556 and 223, 9mm (brass and nickel), 357 Sig, 50 BMG, etc. I'm only looking to sell in 200-500 or preferably 1000 count boxes. It is all first class and has not been resized. If interested PM me, ...

About the projecting bluetooth keyboard... Could we go for some kind of Guinness World Record by projecting it downrange while 30 VGOF'ers shoot at it in sync to type a paragraph.

Re: Any recommends on an accurate .22 LR?
Rugers of all kinds, including very cheap ones are great and best of all, down the road are easily customizable. They're a lot of great companies that make high-end aftermarket upgrade conversions. I bought a bunch of Volquartsen components over time for my Ruger II and III's and enhancements are in...

To RWBlue01... I own a Joe Gaddini/SWR 45 can and it is not as quiet as the Ti-Rant. Not even close. Neither is Gemtech, AWC or KAC's SOCOM for that matter. I own them all. All three of those companies haven't improved their design in ages.

Re: .45 Suppressor - worth it?
So true. Cans and more can are a big paycheck burner for me... and agh, I now own 23 cans. A 45 can is a 100% good (and fun) buy!
Diomed you're right on the money with the ACC Ti-Rant being best for dry suppression. Haven't tried the Osprey... but I assure full satisfaction with a Ti-Rant.
