Wow .50 Beowulf on an AR platform ! Do you have some sort of Barrett style muzzle brake on it? If not I would look into that to help out the recoil.

Ruger10/22 awesome first rifle. Reliable and boatloads of fun. Mega cheap to shoot too. You can get one in stainless for ~225 too. A purchase that you won't regret!

I would either do 1 or 2 things. If my budget was set in stone, I would pick up a SKS with a chrome lined bbl. I have one I have probly put 1500 rounds through without a hiccup. It will shoot the cheapest polymer & steel case ammo & it shoots straight. Spare parts for them are everywhere. Yo...
