Re: New to Virginia, Trying to obtain CCW
There is a range in Warrenton and also one in Harrisonburg that are public. The Warrenton one is called Clark Brothers and its about and hour and 20 minutes from Sams club in Charlottesville. Just take 29 North and they are on the left hand side as you pass the Sheetz in Opal on the right. It's dece...

Re: FBI going to 9mm pistols?
I shoot a Glock 20 in 10MM and it is now my EDC gun. I traded my Glock 30 in .45 for it because I wanted more rounds and more kinetic energy and penetration than my .45 would give me. I love my .45 but I just felt that I wanted every last possible advantage possible if I ever had to use my gun in a ...

Re: Carrying "High capacity" magazines in Virginia
My question about this would be even though you have your CHP which satisfies the law referenced above wouldn't you still be violating the law in many of the counties that have county statutes that say you can't carry a loaded rifle? Or would the state law take precedence? My county allows loaded ri...

Re: .22 Caliber Suppressed 1911 pistol and NFA Trust Giveaway #2
I liked Arsenal Gun Trust's, Arsenal Attorney's and I liked this thread. That should be good for three entries. This pistol would look really good in my gun safe and make a good start to my suppressor collection.

Re: Pocket Carry of Small Caliber Handguns
I carrry a Ruger LCP as a backup to my Taurus .327 Federal Magnum, which is a backup to my Kimber 1911. The Ruger and the Taurus are both pocket carry with cargo pants and the Ruger will fit in any front pocket. The LCP has a Crimson Trace laser and is a great little gun. That being said, i personal...

I have heard of that too. Not for me though, too chicken for that game. I am not scared of them but after handling a whole bunch of them and a couple of bites I have a healthy respect. Maybe I will try it on the next garter snake that looks at me funny.

Re: 2011 Get together and shoot
I have some of those #8shot .45 rounds that are supposed to be for snakes. I have used them once when we were in Texas. I was stationed there when I was in the Army and we were camping. We pissed off a pair of western diamond back rattlesnakes when we picked up some dry wood that was in a deadfall. ...

Re: My New .450 Bushmaster AR Toy
Thanks, I am bringing it to Bills meet and greet in May. Anyone that wants to try the .450 Bushmaster cartridge out can try mine. I have not had so much fun in a long time. This thing vaporizes milk jugs and two liter soda bottles when they are full. I don't understand the dynamics of fluids but the...

My New .450 Bushmaster AR Toy
Damn I have a good wife! After buying me TWO Kimber .45 pistols last month she suggests that I finally buy that .450 Bushmaster I have been wanting for hunting hogs and deer for so long. This rifle is sweet and I can't wait to see how it performs on a big hog or a nice buck. Recoil is the best part ...

Re: Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club Range
Hmm...got a question about that NRA membership, too. How would being an NRA member matter for liability insurance coverage reasons? The club's insurance policy is through NRA, and the policy requires that all members of the club belong to NRA. If there were club members who are not NRA members and ...
