Re: VA Delegate Mark Levine goes full hoplophobe...
He is one of the delegates that signed the letter to the landlord of NOVA Armory (on official Virginia Legislature letterhead no less) pressuring them to break the gunshop's lease. I emailed him expressing my displeasure at his actions and got an immediate lengthy reply of him going full retard. His...

Re: Where to Have a Lower Engraved
I had two that needed to be done so I shipped them to Tar Heel State Firearms. Roundtrip shipping and the work was a hundred bucks for both of them.
They did a great job and I had them back in like a week.

Wow, I doubt many Base Commanders will allow it though. Most make it to that rank by being risk averse.

Re: Where to Have a Lower Engraved
$100 to engrave, that seems a bit more expensive than I would have guessed. Quite a bit more than I expected but I guess its this area. I looked around to get a flash hider pinned and welded and the 2 places I checked with wanted over a hundred bucks...and that's after I had already drilled and pin...

Re: Where to Have a Lower Engraved
US Tactical charges $100 per gun so Things Remembered is worth looking into.
I get the equipment is pricey but damn, its literally a few minutes work.

Re: AK Build Curiosity
There's a lot more to it than building an AR. Honestly, I think you assemble an AR but build an AK. safaridave held a build party in 2013. There were only 3 of us and we bought kits that were already headspaced to make things easier. He had all the tools and we bent the flats, riveted in the front a...

H&S Tactical, Fredericksburg
Any one heard of Greg Loving and/or H&S Tactical in Fredericksburg? He was recommended by one of the guys at SSG Tactical for barrel work and SBR engraving. The website handstactical dot com doesn't give much info. Their Facebook page is somewhat better but I am really looking for some unbiased r...

At the bottom of that page it says he is working on a VEPR magwell for Saigas. Very cool.

Re: Product Review: CSS VEPR12 Folding Stock Adapter
After looking around a little bit I found out that Izhmash mags made for Saigas with factory magwells will fit Veprs also. The downside? Each mag cost over $100...when available. I like the idea of common mags but not at that price. Now with the Russian imports banned, I doubt an American company wi...

Re: Product Review: CSS VEPR12 Folding Stock Adapter
The magwell prevents me from using a drum. I also put a magwell on my Saiga12 so I guess I'll be selling my MD Arms 20 round drum soon. Au contraire, mon frere. http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-accessories/vepr-12-sgm-tactical-25-round-drum-detail.html?Itemid=0 Does the...

Re: Product Review: CSS VEPR12 Folding Stock Adapter
Nice job. I am really tempted to get one of these shotguns. Just remember VA prohibits use of 12+ round drum with a folding stock. ______________________________________________________________________ § 18.2-308.8. Importation, sale, possession or transfer of Striker 12's prohibited; penalty. It sh...

Re: The Most Corrupt Town in the Country
I think the award goes to Bell, California. The small town, covering 2.5 square miles near Los Angeles, with a population of approximately 38,000 was one of the poorest cities in Los Angeles County. Roughly 90% of residents are Hispanic or Latino; many do not have a high school education and the une...

Big thanks to the endless generosity of SafariDave in hosting this. We used his tools plus a bunch of his materials in doing this. It was a long day but I learned a ton.
Thanks to dorminWS for the tank too. That thing was heavy duty and I am sure it cost a bunch to build and ship.

Re: Family Of Armed Robbers Want To Sue Hero Who Stopped Them
That video is absolutely infuriating. "The families of the would-be robbers say they are devastated that another man [Robber #3, the Getaway Driver] is now facing murder charges." A candlelit memorial w/ stuffed animals for two armed robbers shot in the act?? Interviews with the families l...

Re: J&G has Yugo AK pistols on sale again
These are great deals. I bought a draco and SBR'd it but regretted it after fondling an M92. The Serb gun is much nicer.
Did the same thing with a Saiga-12 and then the VEPR's came out. Oh well, hindsight is 20-20.
