Re: immature OC'ers

Practically the whole of this discussion focuses purely on the topic of carrying a gun as a showpiece, something to make a political or personal statement and completely ignores and undermines the heart of why many of us carry a gun and push for laws making it easier for people to carry guns: Person...

Re: VA-ALERT: URGENT ACTION ITEMS

Thanks for the posting OakRidgeStars. I saw the VCDL action item and acted immediately. When I was up at the capitol for Lobby Day I spoke every chance I got to the senators, delegates or their legislative aids about how dangerous these bills were in their current state and they didn't get any bette...

Re: Concealed carry in Colonial Williamsburg

The wife and I were out at Colonial Williamsburg back in October and we both OCed all over the village with no issue at all. In fact while on our way back to the entry building we ran across another OCer who was up visiting from NC. Although we didn't do much shopping in that particular area, my OCi...

Well you sure are right fireman. No offense was intended. I read the first sentence of your post this morning, but apparently missed the remainder. Oh well, now we've got him covered twice.

Re: Blatent violation of Virginia State Law by Albemarle County?

When I applied for my CHP at the Albemarle Co. court house a couple months ago I was told it would take 60 days. I bit my tongue and didn't say anything. On both of my visits I only saw the same two women in the office. As to looking for my name on the civil docket, I couldn't find it when I was wa...

Re: When it may NOT be good to Open Carry...

If these guys are the thugs you think they might be then how or if you carry isn't going to make a whit of difference to them. I'd rather them know I'm carrying and have those around me who perceive me to be a peaceful, law abiding type to know other "good" people carry too.

Re: Postal carry

Gun Control Act of 1968 (Title 18, US Code, Chapter 44, Title I, Section 101) states "The Congress hereby declares that the purpose of this title is to provide support to Federal, State, and local law enforcement officials in their fight against crime and violence, and it is not the purpose of ...

Howdy all. I've read the forum over here occasionally for a while now , but now that I see some of the regular characters from OCDO (opencarry.org) are over here as well I figured I'd open an account. I generally carry openly everywhere and rarely carry concealed and enjoy the opportunity to talk ab...
