What's the point of an Ar shooting an AK round from AK mags? Why not just get an AK and be done with it?

Re: Assembly drops plan to boost HOA powers
Where I grew up we didn't need community nazi's. Everyone took care of their own property. If you didn't like it you didn't look at it. I HATE HOA's (This comes from a guy that is the treasure of his HOA, and whose wife is the President). We have people who refuse to pay then are mad at us and call ...

Re: VA transport laws
I have never had an issues with keeping the ammo in my range bag and my guns in cases. You are allowed to OPEN CARRY in a car but your gun has to be easily seen from the outside of the car. I don't because all my windows are tinted and it is hard to seen in my car unless it is in bright sun.

http://wheretoshoot.org/Find_Range/wts_subresults.asp Plenty on that list. Plus Virginia has more IWLA sites than just about any other state. I live in Stafford, I have Quantico, IWLA in stafford, The range, IWLA Fred, Fredericksburg Rod and Gun plus more. I do most of my shooting at my Hunt Club as...

Re: Deer hunting: cartridge question
I would shy away from FMJ rounds because expansion is unreliable. As for hollow point bullets. Depends on what they are. A Sierra Matchking is not NOT a hunting bullet. They are not designed to work on animals they are designed to punch holes in paper. A Sierra HP Gameking is made to work on game an...

Re: QUEER BEER: Beer Co.s Boycott St. Paddy’s Parades
Heineken sucks. No loss there. Sam Adams I like, but didn't drink much. Yuengling is cheaper. Guinness was a rare treat that I liked a lot. Used to get a beer from a small brewer up in Wisconsin called Spotted Cow. Really nice beer. Then the woman who owns it came out for bucket-head. I REALLY HATE...

Re: Anybody got any experience with this doo-dad?
Spent many a hour stripper clipping 30 rnd mags. That was the drawback to being the platoon with all the trucks and the Hazmat drivers.
It was outweighed by the fact that WE got to use up all the extra ammo on the last day on the range.

Re: Cleaning a dark bore Possible solution ?
WOW I have seen some other home made models and they were way more complex than your. Like how you took the time to put shrink tube on it and everything to make it look good. That's also a lot of gunk that came out that barrel. WOW....

Re: Rifle Twist ratio- pros and cons
Twist all gets determined my length of bullet not weight as many believe. Speed also has a factor in it as well. 22-250 can shoot 55gr with a 1:14 twist while a 223/556 needs a 1:12 twist. A 1:7 twist will cause some lighter 224 bullets to just spin apart. Put a 40gr V-max in a 223 and load it a lit...

Re: Whats a good low-power scope for M1 Carbine?
I would pick up something like this. http://swfa.com/Bushnell-1-4x24-Trophy-XLT-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P48386.aspx Unless you want something different. The 30carbine is not much use past 100 yards on game. You can plink as far out as you what with it. Just had to sell my M1carbine but I sold it to a good ...
