Re: Coyotes ?

coyotes are not native to VA. Therefore the slot they've moved into in nature here they took from other animals (fox, bobcat, possum, raccoon, etc). They aren't necessary to the "order of things" in this state. Removing them, or as many as can be done, will not hurt anything. Whatever &qu...

Re: Planning new rifle - Suggestions

I've heard fantastic things about Savage rifles. Very accurate right out of the box (at a fairly reasonable price too). However, I personally have never owned one, so I can't give you my own experience. Also heard fairly positively opinions about the Mossberg 100 ATR. Not as accurate as the Savages,...

Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)

It's not that it's really that appealing to me, I was just puzzled as to why Kel-Tec might choose to omit that capability. When the major manufacturers deleted slamfire capability from their shotguns in the '80s they all cited liability concerns. Ah ok. I see. Learn somethin' new every day

Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)

Except for that little issue with the trigger... Hmm, I had not heard about that. Interesting to know. Thanks for posting that little update lol. That's a bizarre idea.... LEOs have access the "slam-fire" variant while civilians don't... hmm. If the opportunity to pull and hold a trigger,...

I've been keeping my eye on this weapon. IF it proves itself reliable and durable (and only time will tell), then I might pick one up.

Re: What's the best sub-$500 7.62x39 slinger?

For the price you listed, I'd say go the Saiga conversion route. I'm not a big fan the Saigas, but the Romanian WASRs are hit-and-miss. You have a chance of getting a perfectly fine AK, but also an equal chance of getting a piece of crud. Converting a Saiga is alot more reliable, but I can't promise...

Re: Ruger P95

I don't own a P95. However, from firing a friend's, I'd say it's an excellence weapon. Very reliable and durable. After the break-in period, it hasn't had an issue.

Just my two cents.

Re: New Mini-14 or AR-15?

My personal vote is the Mini 14 simply because the commonality of .223 ammunition in the US. Won't have the knock-down power of the good 'ole 7.62x39, but .223 ammo is everywhere (plus the Mini 14 can fire surplus 5.56).

My two cents :)

Amen to that. I'm glad to see so many folks taking action and standing up for the family of this fallen soldier.

Yes, thanks for the review.

I've been browsing around for some rifle plate carriers. This adds another option (and is one of the better options I've come across to honest) for when I make my decision.
