I can agree with your position, in concept. But in reality, we know what will happen. If you read about the NV rancher, something is going on there.
OK, sell the land. 10 years from now we'll see what really transpired.

will most likely be sold to a pulp mill/lumber company. Then stripped clear. Think of the clearing in the Amazon. You can then hunt on it.... in about 20 years. You did know the Redwood forest is in (partially) in Nevada? Imagine that clear cut.... do you really think the average citizen is going to...

Re: Air Rifle - Feinwerkbau 124 Sport Repair
Great that you have your Feinwerkbau back in service. David Slade is that person. He used to work at Beemans, and yes, he is gruffy. I'm (hopefully) nearing readiness for an FT club in Richmond. It's been a long time as I had to perform some services to get enough field targets (they're about $100 e...

Re: New Voter ID Law Would Ban CCW Permit As Valid ID
When the founding fathers wrote the Constitution, and for many years after, only males who were land-owners could vote. That changed after the 1860's and also in the 1910's (?) when women were finally allowed to vote. We've come a long way. If people cannot organize themselves to have a valid ID, ma...

Re: Obama DHS Purchases 2,700 Light-Armored Tanks
After 9/11 Congress passed a few bills that provided $$$ for LE to purchase many things (computers, vechicles, etc). My point is that it was almost a blank check to all LE across the country. Yes, even into the backwoods of say WY. Similar light AP have been on Richmond streets for over 6 years. OK,...

Re: Youth 10 meter air rifle comps?
Casey,
There is a Chesterfield club, at least there was one about 3 years ago (lost their contact info).
Contact the 4H, VSSA (Mechanicsville) person and they should be able to steer you right.

Re: Air Rifle - Feinwerkbau 124 Sport Repair
Hello Jon, There is no official airgun club in Richmond, yet. I'm working on something and I'd rather not get anyones hopes up until I'm 100% sure. Nothing secret, just that I've seen other people's ideas come and go. There's another Richmonder (we're both technically in Henrico Co) and between us w...

1) OP stated good prices at gander. 2) you stated gander is way over-priced. 3) reverenddel mentioned green top (it an LGS 1/2 mile away from gander mtn) is over priced the same as gander. their website: http://www.greentophuntfish.com/ summary: relevant because it's tied into this thread when you r...

Re: Gander mountain alert
I said corporation worried about share holders..... I was simply implying that with a large corporation like gander there is more than an owner and employees to feed. I know about profit too as I have owned my very own company once until I sold it. I just like to keep money in the American s...

Any discount on a single transfer with multiple (6) firearms? All shipped together? I have some target rifles being imported from Germany.

Population increase, and, mobility is the cause. While I grew-up in the suburbs of Chicago (60's-70's), now it wall-to-wall houses bast the IL border into WI. Ever take a drive to the Shenandoah (the mountains)? It's packed there too. When I was young, it was a yearly trip to the beach. Now everybod...

.... I make the trip to Blackcreek during the week when it's not very crowded. ... So, how crowded is Blackcreek on weekends? Does the attendance change during the seasons (ie more in early fall before deer season)? Are Fridays good days? Thinking of joining. I'm in Glen Allen and I've only been to...

Take it to Ashland Firearms
Strip it down and take it to Ashland Firearms in Ashland VA. On Rt1. For about $40-$50 you could have it blued.
Since I found this place, I'm bluing just about anything that's not 99%

I'm in Richmond and they allow the .223 cartridge at Ft Lee. Nice place, however, only open Sundays 10-4. Not crowded, but, a 1.5 hr drive. I occasionally drive from Richmond to IWL (Damascus MD) to shoot, so your drive ain't bad.

Re: Concealed Carry on Mt. Vernon grounds?
I was there in Nov (Veteran's Day) and I don't recall seeing any signs. But, I went for sightseeing, not worrying. Bring binoculars with as once the tour is done you can sit on the rear porch. It overlooks the Potomac River and you may spot a bald eagle flying over the river. Since the river is kind...

Why not? If I was walking down the street with 3 (or more) of you (socially), I wouldn't need to.
We would take turns carrying (sorta like the designated driver rule).

Here's that stupid word Hope again
It's possible that only 1 of those candidates are left when they arrive in VA. It's possible that IA. SC, and VT are so lopsided that lesser candidates drop out. My beef is: what gives IA, SO, or VT the right to go before VA? Think about it. They have the ability to have lopsided results and your ca...
